Creator matching

A shortlist of food creators who fit your restaurant

We read your brand and your locations. Then we recommend creators from our 300,000+ food-creator network who fit your food.

The Add creators step of a sample campaign, Street taco week. The search box holds the keywords tacos and street food, and the search area is Nationwide. Below is a list of creators with their followers, city and hashtags. Two are checked, and the button reads Add 2 Influencers.

How does CreatoRain use AI to pick food influencers for a restaurant?

CreatoRain's in-house team searches its 300,000+ food-creator network for creators who post about your food. Keywords such as your cuisine and dishes come from your restaurant's website. The search matches them against creators' bios and hashtags. Each creator then gets a yes-or-no AI fit check. A creator who gets a no is removed, and the rest are sorted by CreatoRain score. Our team builds the shortlist, and you approve it before anyone is invited.

For a campaign that invites creators to your restaurant, creators whose profiles read like restaurant reviewers are picked first. The fit check says no to creators who clearly post about something else, such as gaming or beauty. It also says no to accounts run by a business, a brand, a restaurant or an agency. The regions are a filter, not a distance ranking. Before anyone is invited, you can ask for other keywords or regions.

  1. Keywords from the website

The search keywords come from the restaurant's website. Tell our team to change them or add your own.

  2. Bios and hashtags

The keywords are matched against creators' bios and hashtags. As the campaign invites creators to the restaurant, creators whose profiles read like restaurant reviewers are picked first and marked Strong match. Accounts flagged as a business are left out.

  3. A yes-or-no fit check

Each creator's profile gets an AI fit check against the campaign. A creator who gets a no is removed from the list, not marked. The rest are sorted by CreatoRain score, and the restaurant picks who to invite.

How creator matching works

CreatoRain's team builds the list in the six steps below. You approve the list before anyone is invited, and you can ask for other keywords or regions first.

  1. Keywords from your restaurant

Search keywords, such as your cuisine and your dishes, come from your restaurant's website. Tell our team to change them or add your own.

  2. Creators who post about them

It looks for those keywords in what creators write about themselves and in the hashtags they post with.

  3. Not ranked by distance

The search draws on our food-creator network, which spans the US. Being nearer one of your locations does not move a creator up the list.

  4. Restaurant reviewers picked first

For a campaign that invites creators to your restaurant, creators whose profiles read like restaurant reviewers and food vloggers are picked for the list first and marked Strong match. Within that order, creators with stronger engagement are picked first and very small accounts rank a little lower. The very largest accounts are left out of the search.

  5. A yes-or-no fit check

Each creator's profile gets an AI check against your campaign, with a yes or no answer. The answer is no when the creator clearly posts about something else, such as gaming or beauty. It is also no when the account is run by a business, a brand, a restaurant or an agency. A creator who gets a no is removed from the list, not marked.

  6. Sorted by CreatoRain score

The list is sorted by CreatoRain score. The score weighs the creator's relevancy and performance ratings and how complete their profile is, and it rises when their bio and hashtags match your keywords. A creator without a score yet is listed after the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Does CreatoRain give creators a match score?

It gives them a CreatoRain score, and the list is sorted by it. The score weighs a creator's relevancy and performance ratings and how complete their profile is, and it rises when their bio and hashtags match your keywords. A creator without a score yet is listed last. Whether a creator fits your restaurant is a separate AI check. It answers yes or no, not with a score. A creator who gets a no is removed from the list.

How does CreatoRain use AI to decide whether a creator fits my restaurant?

CreatoRain checks the creator's profile against your campaign with AI, and the answer is yes or no. The answer is no when the creator clearly posts about something else, such as gaming, finance or beauty. It is also no when the account is run by a business, a brand, a restaurant or an agency. A profile that says little is not a reason to say no. The check does not judge location. The campaign's regions do that. A creator who gets a no is removed from the list, and the reason is not shown.

Are creators ranked by how close they are to my restaurant?

No. The search draws on CreatoRain's food-creator network, which spans the US. Being nearer one of your locations does not move a creator up the list.

Can I change the creators CreatoRain suggests?

Yes. You approve the shortlist before anyone is invited. You can ask the CreatoRain team to change the keywords or the regions, and the search runs again. The very largest accounts are left out of the search. You can also ask to drop any creator from the list.

Where do the keywords come from?

CreatoRain draws them from your restaurant's website with AI, such as your cuisine and your dishes. The search matches them against what creators write in their bios and the hashtags they post with. You can ask our team to remove any of them or add your own.
