The situation

Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House is Chubby Group's all-you-can-eat wagyu shabu-shabu chain. The whole table picks one tier, up to Japanese A5 wagyu. Broths run from sukiyaki to spicy miso and Japanese tomato. A KQED reviewer found the Santa Clara room packed with young, professional-looking groups.

Mikiya began in Temple City, California. It now reaches from Honolulu to Boston. By late 2025, its rooms in Las Vegas, Houston, Boston and Flushing had been open for months. Rooms that have been open a while need a steady flow of new creator videos.

What CreatoRain did

CreatoRain's in-house team sent Chubby Group's creator invite to food creators across its network. It listed the group's restaurants city by city. Five lines named Mikiya. They covered Manhattan, Flushing, Las Vegas, Houston's Chinatown and Boston. In Flushing, Houston and Boston, Mikiya was the group's only restaurant on the list.

Each creator was asked to reply with a preferred city. The invite offered a complimentary meal for an Instagram Reel and a TikTok video. The first invites went out in October 2025.

From January to November 2025, CreatoRain's in-house team also arranged creator visits for Chubby Group's restaurants directly.

CreatoRain's in-house team arranged most of Mikiya's creator videos from January to November 2025.

Notes

  1. The counts for the creator posts are public, read from each post on October 12, 2026. We could read no view count for these 43 creator posts, so likes and comments stand in. Press and venue accounts are on the wall, tagged, and in none of the creator-post counts.
  2. Each tile in the creator posts above opens the creator's own post. 47 tiles: the 43 creator posts and 4 press or venue posts.
  3. No estimate: our data sources returned no view count for these Instagram posts.
  4. For context: in a 2021 MGH survey of 701 TikTok users, 36% said they had visited or ordered from a restaurant after seeing it on TikTok. That is a survey answer, not a count of anyone these posts brought in, and nothing on this page multiplies it. Restaurant Dive, August 2021
